What the evidence says

CareEdge is backed by global research.
And by the people who deliver care in Ghana.

"

Hypertension and diabetes are the two leading causes of preventable hospitalisation in Ghana. A nurse visiting your home twice a week costs far less than one hospital admission.

Ghana Health Service
"

Ghana’s National Health Insurance Scheme covers over 17 million people — yet access to consistent, personalised care at home remains a gap most families struggle with. CareEdge fills that gap.

Oxford Business Group Ghana, 2024
"

Stroke recovery does not end at hospital discharge — it begins there. The weeks and months at home, with a qualified nurse supporting mobility, speech, and medication, are where real recovery happens.

PMC Iranian Journal of Nursing & Midwifery Research, 2024
"

The idea of professional home care for the elderly has been received with enthusiasm across Ghana — especially when it is culturally sensitive and family-centred. That is exactly how CareEdge operates.

University of Cape Coast Aged Care Study, Ghana
"

Patients using in-home medication reminders show a 30% improvement in compliance compared to those managing alone. Your loved one should not be managing their condition alone.

Journal of Telemedicine & Telecare, 2024

Getting good medical care in Ghana is hard enough. Getting it at home — for an elderly parent, someone recovering from surgery, or a child who needs regular monitoring — has been almost impossible.

CareEdge fixes that. We send trained nurses, doctors, and specialists to your home, on a schedule you choose, with full clinical documentation after every visit.

  • Post-surgery & recovery care
Wound care, medication management, and daily vitals monitoring — right at home.

For Investors

Ghana has never had this.
We built it. Now we scale it.

We're not a concept. We're an operational platform with real revenue, real clients, and a technology stack that took 18 months to build. We're raising to scale.

The Problem

Ghana's healthcare system was never built for home

  • Hospitals are overwhelmed. Beds are rationed. Families carry the rest.
  • Post-surgery patients are discharged too early — with no clinical support at home.
  • Elderly patients with chronic illness make dangerous, unnecessary hospital trips.
  • There is no coordinated, technology-enabled home care infrastructure anywhere in Ghana.
  • No GPS tracking. No clinical documentation. No accountability layer. Until now.
Our Solution

A full clinical platform — purpose-built for home delivery

  • 6 role-based clinical portals: Admin, Supervisor, Nurse, Doctor, Specialist, Clinical Advisor
  • GPS-verified visit tracking — every visit timestamped and logged
  • Advanced AI triage system — clinical decision support at every visit
  • AI-assisted clinical documentation — NMC-Ghana aligned
  • Automated billing and payroll — zero manual invoicing
  • Multi-disciplinary team access from a single patient record
  • Real clients. Real revenue. Eastern Region — now scaling nationally.

Family Is Part of the Care — Not an Afterthought

After every visit, the family receives a complete WhatsApp report — vital signs, nurse notes, and medication status. If you live in Accra and your parent is in Oda, you know exactly what happened at every visit, in plain language, on your phone. CareEdge also integrates telenursing and telemedicine — your clinical team can assess and advise remotely between visits, not just when they are physically present.

What NMC-Ghana verification means for your family

The Nursing and Midwifery Council of Ghana (NMC-Ghana) is the government body that licenses and regulates all nurses and midwives in Ghana. Only graduates who have passed their professional examinations and met clinical standards receive NMC registration.

Every CareEdge nurse holds an active NMC-Ghana registration. This means they have formal nursing education, passed government licensing exams, and are accountable to a professional regulatory body — not just to us.

You can verify any nurse's registration at nmc.gov.gh using their registration number
Emergency Escalation Protocol
What happens if something goes wrong during a visit
1
Nurse identifies distress signal
All CareEdge nurses are trained to recognise clinical deterioration. Any change in vital signs, consciousness, or condition triggers immediate escalation.
2
Clinical supervisor contacted immediately
Our clinical team reviews the situation in real time and advises the nurse on next steps — including whether emergency services are needed.
3
Family notified within 5 minutes
You are contacted by WhatsApp with a clear update — what was observed, what action is being taken, and what you should do next.
4
Hospital referral coordinated if needed
If hospital transfer is required, the nurse stays with the patient until handover is complete and documents the full clinical picture for the receiving team.
What Clients Say

My mother had her hip replaced in December. I was terrified about bringing her home. The CareEdge nurse came every morning for two weeks. She knew exactly what she was doing — and she documented everything. I could actually sleep at night.

My father has Type 2 diabetes and has been struggling for years. Having a nurse check his blood sugar, adjust his diet plan, and call us with updates — without us taking him to hospital every week — has changed everything for our family.

I work in Accra and my mother lives in Oda. I can't be there every day. CareEdge sends me a summary after every visit — what was checked, what medication she took, how she's doing. I finally feel like I'm not flying blind.

A clinician who refused
to accept the status quo.

Emmanuel didn't walk into nursing — he climbed into it. Starting with a Diploma at Hopkins Health Training Institute, he built his clinical foundation from the ground up, driven by a vision that Ghana's sick and elderly deserved better than what the system was offering.

He pursued a BSc Nursing at Garden City University College, Kumasi, then immediately went further — completing a Master of Public Health (MPH), also at Garden City, where he began studying how healthcare systems fail the people they are meant to serve. That research gave birth to the clinical data philosophy that defines CareEdge today.

Today, as he prepares to specialize in Emergency Nursing at the Ghana College of Nurses and Midwifery, and with a PhD on the horizon, Emmanuel is not just running Ghana's most advanced home nursing platform — he is becoming the researcher who will define what African healthcare looks like for the next generation.

His Vision

"Emergency nursing taught me one truth: in a crisis, data saves lives. The same principle applies to chronic conditions — diabetes, hypertension, heart disease. Through real-time clinical data and AI-powered trend analysis, we are turning home nursing into precision medicine."

Ghana's Senior Care Platform

Built in Ghana.
Built for the world.

Ghana has thousands of trained nurses, doctors, and specialists. And Ghana has millions of elderly citizens and families who cannot easily access consistent, structured clinical care. Between those two realities — nothing existed. Until CareEdge.

We built Ghana's first complete digital clinical management system for senior citizens and home nursing — from scratch. Not a booking app. A full clinical platform: AI-powered triage, GPS-verified visits, role-based portals, automated billing, and clinical reporting that meets hospital and NMC-Ghana standards.

We launched in Eastern Region to prove the model. If it works in a regional town, it works anywhere. And it does. Now we are scaling — nationally, then across West Africa, then globally.

We are not copying a Western model. We are building a global standard — from Ghana.

West Africa & Global Expansion
Nigeria, Côte d'Ivoire, Senegal — and beyond. The CareEdge model, the CareEdge platform, and the CareEdge brand, exported across the continent.
NMC-Ghana aligned from day one
Our clinical documentation follows Nursing & Midwifery Council Ghana standards. Not an afterthought — designed in from the beginning.
Built for the African healthcare context
Offline-capable design, low data usage, and documentation formats that match local regulatory requirements — not imported from elsewhere.
Vision: A Global Brand from Ghana
Eastern Region is proof of concept. All 16 regions of Ghana are next. Then care homes. Then West Africa. Then the world — on Ghanaian terms.

Questions about home nursing in Ghana? We have clear answers.

What areas does CareEdge serve in Ghana?

How quickly can a nurse arrive after I call?
For urgent requests within our active service areas, we target response within 1 hour. For scheduled visits, we coordinate at your preferred date and time. Our nurses are GPS-tracked from departure to arrival, so you always know when to expect them.
Are your nurses certified and properly verified?
Absolutely. Every CareEdge nurse is registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Council of Ghana (NMC-Ghana), credential-verified, and background-checked before joining our platform. Our clinical team is led by a Principal Nursing Officer (PNO), with a Deputy Chief Nursing Officer (DCNO) on our advisory board. You're in the safest hands.
What services does CareEdge provide at home?
We provide a full spectrum of home nursing services including: wound care & dressing, post-operative recovery, chronic disease management (diabetes, hypertension, COPD), IV therapy & infusions, palliative & end-of-life care, physiotherapy, medication management, vital signs monitoring, and daily living assistance for senior citizens.
How does my family know what happened during a visit?
After every visit, families receive a detailed WhatsApp report — automatically generated through our clinical platform — covering vital signs, care provided, medications administered, observations, and the nurse's next-visit recommendations. You're always in the loop, wherever you are in the world.
Can I join CareEdge as a nurse or healthcare professional?
Yes! We're always looking for dedicated, NMC-Ghana registered nurses, doctors, physiotherapists, and care aides. CareEdge offers flexible scheduling, competitive pay, digital tools, and professional development. Scroll up to our "For Professionals" section or WhatsApp us at 0500 416 229 to apply.
What is the vision for CareEdge care homes?
Our ultimate vision is to build Ghana's first chain of accredited, purpose-built residential care homes for senior citizens — starting in Akim Oda and scaling to Accra, Kumasi, and Koforidua. These will be safe, dignified facilities with 24/7 clinical care, social activities, and a deep respect for the elderly.
